Rules & Regulations

  • Every student must carry his/her diary to school everyday and use it productively.
  • Students who do not use the school’s transport facilities should ensure that they arrive at the school atleast 10 minutes before the 1st bell.
  • The Warning bell rung 5 minutes before the 1st period every morning is a signal for all to go to their respective class-rooms. This should be done promptly and without undue noise. As soon as they are in their classes, students must get themselves ready assembly 1st period.
  • Students should be habitually clean and always neatly dressed. The school uniform should be worn on all working days and for all school fuctions.Students who are not in proper uniform will not be allowed to enter their classrooms and parents will be called to the school, to take their wards back home.
  • No shouting or whistling is allowed in or around the school building. Running in the corridors is strictly prohibited
  • It is strictly forbidden to throw any object at any one.
  • Ragging, bullying, physical abuse, teasing and the use of foul language are punishable offences, whether in or out of school.
  • Mobile phones, CD/DVD, USB or other electronic devices are banned and the use of all these in the school are banned and the use of all these in the school campus is an offence as per law. Students are not expected to bring it on any occasion to school.
  • In the interest of safety, students are not allowed to bring any weapons or sharp instruments such as blades, knives, paperscalpels, etc.to school.
  • Care must be taken of all school property and no student should scratch or spoil the desks or chairs, or damage any school furniture, or write or draw anything on the walls. Students are expected to treat the school facilities with pride and respect and should not, in any way, willfully damage done even by accident, Should be reported at done to the school authorities, so that repairs can be promptly undertaken.
  • The cost of any willful damage done will be made good by the concerned student, who will also be liable to pay a fine for any such offence. Anyone who notices something damaged should kindly report the same to a teacher, even if he or he does not know who has done it.
  • No irrelevant book (other than text books or library books), magazine or journals shall be brought to the school without the class teacher’s explicit permission.
  • Lending or borrowing of money or other articles is not permitted.
  • In the interest of their own security, Students are advised not to buy or receive any article, gift or food stuffs from anyone at all.
  • SGCS students should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct outside the school premises, whether in or out of uniform. As ambassadors of the school, students must conduct themselves with decorum and ensure that they are always polite and well mannered.
  • The school reserves the right to terminate the schooling of students with unsatisfactory progress in studies or whose conduct is a bad precept for others.
  • Exploding crackers or splashing colors during any other occasion in the school premises or on school buses is strictly forbidden.Non-compliance with these instructions can result in expulsion from the school.
  • Students must make every effort to be present for festivals and functions celebrated in the school, which they are expected to attend.
  • Every students must take part in the school games and other activities unless declared physically unfit or exempted by the principal.
  • Student suffering from contagious/infectious diseases are not allowed to attend school.
